"What the world needs today is not another idea or practice: what people need is the transforming power of Jesus Christ Himself.”

OUR MISSION
The mission of TEENS OF LIBERTY can be summed up into two phrases from Matthew 22:37-40.
RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRISTVerse 38 says to, "...love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Developing a deep, real relationship with Christ is the # 1 goal for our teens. Christ should be the #1 priority of our lives! If Christ is the focus, then our behavior will become that of Christ Himself.
|
FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHERSVerse 39 says, "...love thy neighbor as thyself." I John 2 says that if we don't love God, we won't love others! As Christians, we are to pray together, worship together, laugh together, eat together! Because of Christ, we can respect others around us, and develop real relationships with other people.

ABOUT OUR FAMILYAt the age of 17, I accepted the fact that I am a sinner, and had broken many of God's moral laws; I also accepted the fact that I cannot do enough "good" to meet God's perfect standard; and that's why Jesus Christ came, to save sinners like me.
I was married to my beautiful wife, Brittany Kopp, during the summer of 2017 in Aurora, OR. My wife is a K-3 teacher at International Christian School in Brooklyn, NY, while I attend to the needs of the church family, and specifically, the teenagers. My wife and I have weekly Bible studies with different teenagers of the church family, and are willing to involve other teens and adults in weekly Bible studies. Call me if you're interested in studying!* *Note: Bible studies with anyone under 18 must have written permission by the parents or guardian. |

ABOUT OUR FAMILYMy family and I started Liberty View Baptist Church in May 2014. I firmly believe that youth and teens in a church is vital to its future growth. At our church we love teens, invest in their lives spiritually and physically. Many of our teens look to our leadership as father and mother figures. We also believe that teens should have a positive outlook on church and God's relationship with them. Please consider plugging in with our ministries which are geared to your youth in mind.
